Roofing Alliance Announces Finalists for 10th Anniversary Construction Management Student Competition

The Roofing Alliance announced the prime 5 teams that gained invitations to the Intercontinental Roofing Expo to current their proposals prior to a panel of judges all through its 10th Anniversary Development Administration University student Levels of competition.  

In a Jan. 3 information launch, the Roofing Alliance, the philanthropic arm of the National Roofing Contractors Affiliation, introduced the 5 teams who will contend in the last leg of the level of competition — the oral displays — starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Place N110.

  This year’s collaborating educational facilities involve:

Auburn University, Auburn, Ala.

  • Mary Madalyn Massengale (team captain), Jack Armstrong, Braxton Bauer (group alternate), Kyle Shaull, Arjun Varadhan college advisor is Dr. Kenneth Sands group mentor is Paige Harvill, Nations Roof, Mobile, Ala.

Bradley College, Peoria, Sick.

  • Adam Wascher (workforce captain), Attilio Levato, Tyler S. Pilon, Tadgh S. Spillane, Uriel De La Torre (group alternate) college advisor is Dr. Souhail Elhouar group mentor is Doug Duncan, Nations Roof, Villa Park, Unwell.

Colorado State College, Fort Collins, Colo. 

  • William Macguire (crew captain), Caleb Borton, Ryan Schmick, Carson Stevens, Dennis Sispera (workforce alternate) college advisor is Prof. Nick Rubino team mentor is Kent Nelson, Front Vary Roofing Devices LLC, Greeley, Colo.

Texas A&M University, University Station, Texas

  • John Falavolito (staff captain), Julian Hood, Hogan Leftwich, Yahir Santiago, Kolten Heine (team alternate) faculty advisor is Prof. Chris Presley team mentor is Kyle Cahill, King of Texas Roofing Business LP, Grand Prairie, Texas. 

University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla.

  • Nick Hanson (group captain), Rachel Offer, Grayson Johnston, Davis Lunger, Will Eison (group alternate) school advisor is Dr. Jim Sullivan workforce mentor is Caleb Stauss, Significant D Roofing Companies, Ocala, Fla. 

The opposition checks students’ roofing know-how, task administration capabilities and presentation skills. This year’s venture is the Method 1 Paddock Creating in Las Vegas, at first roofed by Professional Roofers of Las Vegas. Groups researched the preferred job, submitted a capable bid package deal proposal, and will shortly existing their bids, illustrating their project management, estimating and security awareness.

The top rated 3 winning teams will be identified on stage at the NRCA Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception beginning at 5 p.m. on Feb. 7.
